Congrats to Penn., West Va., and Ohio Congress Placewinners!

Over the four days that the cloverleaf pattern dominated the Coliseum, Bert Thompson threw down the fastest time of any Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania cowgirl with a 15.243, winning the Amateur barrel racing aboard her bay, Shesa Hurricane Payday. In youth competition, Jurie Buchleitner ran the fastest time in any youth class out of Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania barrel racers with a 15.434 on the back of her black mare, Gordons Lena 234.

  1. Chels, 1 of the youth in novice 14 -18 barrel racing was disqualified for entering and riding 3 mounts of which 2 placed. Mia received a letter from AQHA and it states Mia moved to the 4th place and Stevie Young is now holding the 3rd spot. Not exactly the way you want to medal higher but that is the scoop.Aim

  2. That's so strange, on the results on the Congress site it does not list anybody as having placed on two horses in that class. They disqualified Chasey last year for that same thing, remember? Mia did make the top five then, which was her goal! But I agree, not the way you want to do it. Interesting Aim! Thanks (can't wait to see you this weekend!)
